Get Out The Vote (For Fool’s Gold)

Fool’s Gold has had an amazing year, and we here at Black Iris are so proud that they have gotten their due. But, we’d like to end the year with one (or two) high notes. The distinguished folk at NPR -All Songs Considered have included Fool’s Gold’s LP as one of the contenders for the Reader’s Picks top songs of 2009. If you wanna help out and confirm their suspicions, then you can get in on that action over on the All Songs Considered Blog and vote for Fool’s Gold.

Those of you who are poll-happy are in luck. The tastemakers over at Pitchfork have also recognized Fool’s Golds’ hard work this year, and thrown their name into contention for Band Of The Year in their 2009 Readers Poll, so that’s two polls for ya’ (while you’re at it, vote for Best Coast for Top new Hope for 2010).

Even if you didn’t vote, know that Black Iris and Fool’s Gold give thanks to you, and we just wanna see them get what’s comin’ to them this year. Thanks for your help.
